Jamese has contributed over 15 years of progressive expertise as a Corporate and Community Strategist establishing, advancing, impact-driven social responsibility frameworks across the Financial Services, Banking, and Nonprofit sectors.

Her leadership and astute business acumen shaped a 13-year career trajectory, successfully positioning herself as the first female African American SVP, Area/Market Manager overseeing the Metro Atlanta region.

She recently served as founding Program Chair, Multi-Cultural Resource Group for COUNTRY Financial, and partnered as a Community Engagement Tactician advising on market/business growth initiatives.

Jamese earned a BA Degree in Business Economics, holds a Masters of Practical Theology, and Series 6, 63, & 26 licenses. She merged her passion and corporate achievements to influence others on wealth strategies, life insurance, and the value of relational, fiscal, well-being.

Throughout her journey, she volunteered as President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter, received the Outstanding Atlanta Award, featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, and presented the 2014 Torch Award by the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

April Harris is a communications professional, retail franchise entrepreneur and longtime advocate board member, and constituent of Greater Wealth Works (formerly  The EDGE Georgia). She owned and operated a Marble Slab Creamery in the Town Brookhaven Shopping Center in Brookhaven, GA.

Prior to owning and operation her franchise business April worked for more than 15 years in broadcast journalism.  April joined CNN in 1992 as a video journalist and worked her way up the ladder to become the Atlanta-based Producer for the Emmy Award-winning show Lou Dobbs Tonight.

April played an important role in coordinating coverage of several major breaking news stories, including the Atlanta Olympic Bombing, Hurricane Katrina, and the September 11th terrorist attacks.  She covered business news stories as a Unit Producer/Superdesk Coordinator for CNN’s business unit CNNfn and as a Field Producer for CNN Saturday Morning and CNN Sunday Morning.

April has received recognition from the National Academy of Arts & Sciences for Outstanding Extended Coverage of a Business Story on Lou Dobbs Tonight, episode “Exporting America”.

April recently joined Greater Wealth Works Inc. as the Greater Wealth Works Women’s Business Center Program Manager.
